double sided tape or glue to fix rubber arch trim

    Hi guys,was going to put the rubber arch trims on my car but should i be using a glue/adhesive or double sided tape,i did buy some double sided tape but it does not seem to be very strong hence the question:dk:

    Hi,
    I used proper 3M Panel tape, and used a heat gun to warm the panel and the rubber arch strip when applying it never had an issue. Thing is with glues they will have a tendency to melt/eat into the rubber arch.

    Second for using the proper 3M tape still on pukka with no issues !

    Will any make/brand of 3m tape do or is their a certain brand you guys use, i used a double sided tape before but when it rained a week later the arch trims came loose and one even just fell off

    3M tape is made by Scotch. As Andy says, it's pretty decent and the heating will help hugely too. Whenever I stick anything now, I always clean the surface with an alcohol wipe to ensure better adhesion
