DPF additives info please

    If you remove the DPF you have to tick the 'modified' box for insurance or risk invalidating your cover.

    I asked my local emercedes idependant specialist. He said it is not neccessery for the exhuast tailpipes to be spotless or shining if DPF is fitted, he said they could also be black. Apparently its due to the V6 diesel engine configuration he said...

    Just to let you guys know, the S320 CDI was purchased yesterday and believe me, this is a car of its own!! Its god 60,000 miles, 08 reg, with very good spec and full MB service history.

    Regrading the DPF additives, the Triple QX DPF additive can be used for any diesel engine fitted with a DPF, as that is what is states in the description.

    it is suggested to add to a full tank of fuel every 3 months IF your car is only used for short runs.

    Yes, it says the exact same thing on the DPF additive i purchased from ECP.

    Have you managed to use your car normally (with the additive in) or do you take your car out for a drive every few months? Thanks.
