Evening all,

Hopefully this will help someone. Recently I've noticed my car getting very hot and the fan running when I pull up to work. The temperature gauge shows normal. After doing a bit of research it seems to be related to the DPF regeneration. I came across this video of a Mercedes owner installing an LED into a relay in the fuse box to glow during a regeneration cycle.

So thought I'd have a go myself. I have positioned the LED inside the drivers side air vent as I didn't want anything stuck on the dash. Here are some pictures of it working. It is a bit bright at night but I just close the vent slats.
