Evening folks

As some of you know i have recently purchased an R170 slk for the summer:bannana:
I have noticed dripping water from under the front bumper At first i thought the rad had a leak but having a closer look underneath i discovered it is the headlamp wash nozzle (the ones that pop out) that was leaking and emptying the washer bottle in about a week.

Have any of the guru,s on here heard of or had this problem????????

I guess tommorow i will see if i can get a closer look buy removeing the headlamp.

Thats my weekend gone already.

Sounds like the problem I had on my SL.

There's a little pressure valve in the line from the washer reservoir to the headlamp washers. When it fails the fluid drips out of whichever nozzle is lower (depending on how the car is parked), because the reservoir is higher up.

The replacement valve is pretty cheap, but access is a right bu**er. In the end I cheated and got the dealership to do it while the car was in for something else.

I had the same issue on my 12 year old 210 estate ..

Steve took out the plunger thing (it extends), moved it in and out a few times, turned it a few times and refitted it .. stopped the leak. maybe pure luck but worth trying.
