Drive to Coventry

Just got back from a drive to Coventry, saw 1 black W124 E220 L-Reg on the way up, the owner gave a nod and a smile as I wafted along at 70. Then saw another 2 W124's on the way back, one was a silver estate (Diesel) and another dark blue Saloon E280 M-Reg, I honked at him and he honked back at me with a thumbs up as I passed in the middle lane.

Made me fall in love with my 124 all over again!

Meeting an enthusiast on the road who drivers the same car as mine always puts a smile on my face

We have loads of 124s around where I live. I saw 4 124s in a 2 mile journey from my house today. 2 estates, a saloon and a coupe. All were in great nick. Can anyone think of another make or model from this era that are still so commonly seen on the roads today as a daily runner?

Loads of W124s around me in South Ken. One or two are sheds, but most are in good nick. Can't say any wave though.
