The silver one.
Worked when i bought car about 2 mths ago and now doesnt:rolleyes:

Checked for power to the seat 12 volts, done a continuity check on the heater pads and they are both showing open circuit, but i cannot see both failing at the exact same time or can they?.

As i have moved the seat about a lot i was hoping it was something nice and simple like a broken wire.

The pads are integral with the leather cover and do fail. Strange for both to go together, but maybe they didn't, you just didn't notice as it's summer.

Quite pricey too.

It is also diyable if you want to save some ££

So looking at the plug each pad seems to have its own power cables so in theory i could just change the base heater element ( the easy one) and leave the back?

Blackc55 i am a tight git and a truck mech so do everything myself usually twice!

Yes you can just do the base.
Remove the seat, then recline it. Remove the plastic side trims and cable ties, then unbolt the backrest hinges from the frame and remove the backrest.
Turn the base so the frame is uppermost and unbolt the frame from the rails, then press down on the base frame to unhook the covering at the edges.
The seat material has stiffeners which are clipped into white nylon hooks, which need to be unhooked with needle nosed pliers.

It sounds complicated but isn't.

Thanks dieselman:D any idea best place to get heater pad or is it oe only?

Lynall
