Just under three weeks ago I posted an internet search for a diff for a 260E. Dronsfields were good enough to answer stating that they had one at £150, delivered within 24 hours. Two weeks later and it still has not arrived. I phone them everyday, only to be told that they will get back to me. I have had issues with this company in the past and thought that now they have a new premises things would have improved. How wrong can you be. I would ask for my money back. I feel that they are in breach of contract so I am going to run this to the bitter end.

Sounds to me like they didn't have one in the first place but with the chance of a sale being too much of a temptation were hoping they would have one in soon and are still hoping ......... good luck with getting it sorted.

I have always been a supporter and customer of Dronsfields. In particular I have taken time to stand up for them on this forum.

They then proceeded to fleece me. Taking over a week to ship a part that turned up very obviously damaged and with a part missing, making it useless. Polite mails trying to get the issue resolved were met with replies promising contact that was not made. I never got my money back. Ver disappointing.

I've never bought from them so can't speak from my own experience, but they seem to be discussed a lot on here over the years, and very rarely in a good way. To say I'm not surprised about your current experience would be an understatement!

Re Dronsfields, no-one on here can say they weren't warned

Prestige All Parts delivered a part to me that was incorrect despite a long phone discussion and their assurances that it was correct. When they refused a refund I set up a Moneyclaim and phoned them to say I would action it the next morning unless I received a refund that day

The refund was done the same day

I very very rarely use second hand parts.

I have been burnt so many times with poor service, poor quality parts and generally bad attitude from some breakers.

MSL centre have been the only one that when I had an issue they sorted very quickly.

|What is disappointing here is that I had actually just written a post praising them for their dealing with me the previous month when the sold me an engine. I have used them for some years and never had an issue with them. For some reason this went wrong. They must have known that they shipped me a busted part as the they wrapped the broken bit separately in the package.

When I spike to them they were really apologetic and promised to get straight back to me. They didn't get back to me despite mails, phone calls etc.

I lost my money and never got the part.

Once bitten...

FYI. I only wanted a tailgate lock striker plate. Looks like they broke it getting it out the donor car. I was happy to send it back and told them that. I could even have dropped it off by hand. In total I called the 12 times to try and resolve I also sent 4 emails, all friendly asking for their help and saying how I liked their service. They did do me a great deal on my C240 V6 engine. Sold and delivered in 24 hours. Mind you then did call me the following week to say I hadn't paid for it. I had and they apologised.

I use dronsfields a fair bit if Mercman or Nick cant help... they have been ok with me. If we have had an issue they have sorted fairly quickly.

Never had any problems with them to be honest, used them a few times

Used them twice, 1st time the part was coated in oil. 2nd time the part was broken, to their credit they posted out a replacement very next day.
