had to jump start car but i put leads on wrong way round the leads where on for about 3 minutes before i put them on the right way ,the car took an unusually long time to fire up but when it did it seemed to get hot rather quickly and non of the dash instruments worked - before anyone says anything i have already called myself all the stupid names you can think of -

You've blown the fuses in the OVP relay, which are designed to blow to save all your REALLY expensive electronic gizmos further down the line.
