I did have an earlier thread asking questions about DTUK and on the recommendation of one or two on here I decided to get in touch and organise a visit to their unit.

I have always had remaps before but for various reasons wanted a box. I called them yesterday and spoke to the owner, Andrew, who was very helpful offered to let me have a trial of some of their kit.
I stupidly told the mrs that it was on the way to The Metro Centre, it convinced her to have a trip over there but cost me dear at the end of the day!
When we arrived Andrew gave us a warm welcome and got straight on to explaining the differences between the products. Andrew had one of the guys who work with him fit me a CRD-T module, I watched as he did it, it was a plug and play module on the common rail and to the boost, fitted in seconds. They also do an even more simple system that only controls common rail, but I wanted to opt for the system with boost control also.
I took it for a quick spin and it instantly blew my mind, a Merc barge shouldnt move like that! The engine was completely transformed. I can well believe any torque and power claims :D, so much more grunt and so much more driveable.
I was all set to pay up and be on my way when Andrew mentioned 'Pedal Box', DTUK's new toy as he calls it, another plug and play module that alters throttle response. I decided to stick one on for a laugh, though was very sceptical at the same time, but am happy to eat humble pie on the scepticism, the car was transformed again, no extra power just significantly more pedal response. At this point the car was awesome to drive, like an entirely different car.
A quick bit of haggling got me a nice deal on the pair bought together and a couple of Hershey bars chucked in for good measure!

Andrew and his team were very helpful, very knowledgeable and (unusually) in the modern world actually willing to let you try things for yourself in the real world. I cannot recommend them and their products enough :bannana:

what is the pedal box? is it electronic, where does it fit?

Congratulations! You chose great produtcs to improve the power of your MB. I just want to ask what's the engine?

Glad you got sorted Tom, I told you they were a class outfit to deal with :thumb:

Pedal Box just fits behind the pedal, unplug the plug behind the pedal and the pedal box loom takes it place, really straightforward when the guy (I think his name was Daryl, am rubbish with names) showed me. Was explained to me as being an electronic device that intercepts the signal sent by the pedal and modulates it via a series of four optional maps, each map being adjustable by me.

The car is an 11 plate C200 CDI BlueEfficiency

Thanks for the advice Flanaia1

Pedalbox is like the sprint booster then, which I think a few members on here have.

It seems to be a very similar concept, just a bit less gimmicky I think

You can have several maps in the pedal box of DTUK. I think in the case of the Sprintbooster you just have more or less responsiveness in the pedal, independently of the position of the pedal.
Note that are several brands selling pedal boxes similar to DTUK:

Speedbuster, Swisschiptech, Kleemann, Kw-Systems (with a funny interface), TMC Motorsport,...

See the picture for pedal box:
