Dull headlight lenses

My dad has a 2001 E-Class and headlight lenses are really dull; doe's anybody know a trick to brighten them up?

Really? I thought it was a process involving sanding, plastx and buffing..

Recently got some 3M products including Fast cut+ if I can use it on its own(?) simply to restore the headlights clarity, Ill do it tomorrow.

don't forget to post the before and after pics.... im really tempted to having a go at this but don't have a machine so will need plenty of elbow grease

Some forums suggest that the plastic has a hard outer layer and any abrasive compound will damage it. Try
ZYMOL SCREEN CLEAN KIT

But I am sure it won't be cheap!

Done my lights today.. Tried to do it with the 3M Rotary.. but the pads were just too big so stopped.. Need the 4" ones.. Did It by hand.. They came up much better than they were..

Sorry no before and after pictures as it was a horrible day and didn't get to wash the car and do what I wanted anyway..
