'94 C180 salloon - the wood trim looks a bit dull from light exposure.

Firstly - is it wood or wood-look plastic?

second - how can I bring it back up to a shine?

tried furniture polish - just basic Mr Sheen stuff - to no avail

tried an interior valet spray from Halfords - just gave evetrything an oily/wet look - could still see dullnes though.

Any suggestions please?

It's real wood! It needs something similar to french-polishing to fix.

You could also just buy some self-adhesive wood-effect film and simply wrap that over the top, the foliatec stuff looks better than the genuine wood in some instances!

Agree with Shude ... Foliatec

Used it for my COMAND install.

Available from (cough) Halfords (/cough)

Not cheap, but cheaper than wood panels. You want the Dark Walnut style.
