Anyone have experience of circumventing the DVD in motion functionality allowing for movies to play whilst the car in moving, keeps the kids happy..

It's nothing personal but no one on the Forum will tell you how to do it because as you know it is illegal.

It really isn't worth the risk just to keep children amused.

It's illegal for obvious reasons. Buy them a £29 portable DVD player off eBay or use your phone.

^ This.
I installed a DVD player in the rear of my E class for around £70 at the time from Halfords. With a set of bluetooth headphones, the kids can watch what they like whilst you can listen to the radio. You can have one on each headrest and keep two kids amused.
Well worth it and keeps the car legal.

Anyone for popcorn? 😁

To be fair the OP didn't say it was for his profile car ..

Regardless of car type, how many kids (plural!) can you fit in the front of the car?

If integrated DVD playback for passengers is important, then that’s what rear entertainment is for :)

As said, otherwise use an old iPad/tablet or something :thumb:
