DVLA -what a useless outfit.
When I went online to tax the ML, not having received any reminder, up it came ' No trace of vehicle' . So I phone their 0300 number, the message I got
was 'Sorry we are busy. Goodbye'. I then decided to check if I was on the driver database, the mesage I got was- you cannot use this service if your licence was issued in Northern Ireland.
That is today's rant over (but then it is only 10.30am !)

They are poor to deal with I dread when I have to visit the offices or even worse talk over the phone

On the other hand, the DVLA websites are well laid out, and provided all your paperwork is in order, taxing a car is simplicity.
So it's not all bad news

DVLA = Bunch of brainless dippies

Had a very similar problem only that I needed to tax my car on a sunday where all post offices closed in my area, phone was not being answered even after 1 hour 52 min in waiting line and online tax renewer kept saying car is not recognised.
