I haven't received the V5 for the W124 although when trying to SORN it, DVLA say they have issued it so I must Sorn by post and the direct debit continues unstopped so I am being taxed on a Sorn vehicle through their inefficiency.
While we are at it, where is the unexpired portion of the tax from my scrapped W202, Swansea? I haven't seen that, either.

Why can't you SORN online; because you don't have the reference number from the V5?

Correct and new keeper supplement is therefote no longer valid

Welcome to the Kafkaesque world of the DVLA.

All I can suggest is to make a formal complaint, and when that's brushed off, escalate it. Unfortunately that may be a bit like

Your MP would be your friend in a case like this - most of them just love giving bureaucracies a bashing , and ensuring your vote next time round .
