Dynavin Stereo (comand alternative)

Do a search on the forum for 'dynavin'.

a few over on mercedesclub have bought and fitted the various dynavin d/din units, although they are budget systems they do seem to work as described.

Reading into this i dont think it will fit my Post facelift W203 but would be good to see if there are any similar systems that do.

on the hunt i will go :-)

wish me luck

You really would be better off with anything but a Dynavin. They are cheap and shoddy. They dont work with steering wheel controls or the instrument cluster.

Ive had two customers now who have asked us to remove them so they could go back to audio-20 and/or send the units back.

I had a good look at one of them and the build quality is really quite bad. The only thing they have going for them in my opinion is that they fit in where an audio-20/comand goes.

Works a treat

Just installed a DNV-MBC in my w203 2006 estate every think works
steering wheel controls including display in dashboard
I gave up trying to use the mercedes ariel it gave awful reception
Fitted roof mount arial now works great
Reverse camera works a treat
If you dont have a reverse camera fitted you get a blank screen there is no way to turn this off
Igo my way primo satnav very easy to work, have not fitted tv module
7 out of 10 untill Dynavin fix phone book menu
Grate build quality.
I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT LOOKS GRATE

Hi

Can I ask what camera you fitted and where you to it from? I'm about to fit the same head unit to my face lift w203 saloon and I want to add the camera to complete the install.

Any help is great fully received

They do a unit for the facelifted W203. I saw one today installed in one, the owner was perfectly happy with it.

The pictures on their site look great but the videos on YouTube really don't! At £600 they seem pretty expensive for a knock off!

As post #6 steer well clear you would be better off with a £50 pioneer from halfrauds and it would last longer :D

Remember the old saying you get what you pay for? very true n this case, better units than that available on E bay for a third of the cost if you want a knock off :thumb:

I have a dynavin fitted my self for 3 mths now with dig tv ,nav ,USB,memory card ,sd card ,DVD player etc etc and its been super ,works through steering controls no problem, excellent phone system , 65 tv channels never give me any trouble and was a plug and play its bright and cheerful makes the car a lot more modern. I have it in a 2007 e280 CID sport .ok I swapped it for a crappy audio 20 which was so dull could not even see the screen. Was very frightened to spent £600 on this but M B asked me £3000 for proper command unit so took the plunge and bought the dynavin and have no regrets at all.

Your experience is a lucky one if all the others who have complained about theirs are to be believed. I'm glad its worked for you.

However, it is interesting that the UK distributor has now handed the work to another firm. I am told by someone very close to the business that the previous distributor pretty much had every one of these units back with faults. Hopefully yours is a good one though.
