Hi
Every morning I start my 2017 E350 and the engine switches itself off when I am waiting to pull out from our side road onto the main road.
I press the control button and it starts up, and gets the hint for the rest of the day.
Next morning, back to square one.
Anyway I can turn off start/stop permanently?

Another option, turn off stop/start system using the switch after engine has started and running evenly. Me, start engine, turn on Comand, turn off stop/start every time I use vehicle.

Thanks, sadly that relies on my remembering, but I'll give it a go!

I read a story of another MB (not sure on model) where a fuse could be pulled which stopped it ? Sorry no more info

All good on C Class 204 , not on later E Class 212 .

Logically, there are five possible settings for these type of systems:

1. ON by default

2. OFF by default

3. Always ON

4. Always OFF

5. Last position remembered

However, it is down to what MB allow setting via STAR.

Personally, my own preference would be (had I been given the choice...):

5, if not available then 2, if not available then 1 (which is how it is set from the factory). I would not want either 3 or 4.

But I can see how some people would prefer 4 over 1, especially where 2 and 5 are not possible.

I believe that Brabus do a box of tricks that will give you option 5. No idea what cars it is suitable for and you can be sure it is over priced.
