E bay W210 service book?

some dubious buyer could well remove that page and then fob the booklet off as their own - no doubt most wouldnt notice.

I have just reported this joker to eBay - fingers crossed they will remove this listing!

Oh i so wanted to buy it:D

Just looked at my service book and its shorter but taller if you see what i mean:)

Plus all my vehicle details are in the front and the build sheet is in the back.

Simply becasue there is nothing illegal or fraudulent about selling a used service book.

The fraud is perpetrated by the person that alters or passes the book off as their own.

Do you see eBay rushing to remove the thousands of sales for Far Eastern "Genuine" Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and whatever else clothing.....

eBay are interested in fees, and keeping negative press to a minimum.

While we are on this topic, watch out for Mercs for sale with FSH from Puttocks

It gets worse.

Its not the blank new books that fascinate me it the fact thats its stamped up and is obviously going to be used to con someone, but as the book was for a 98 car i cant see it making much difference to the value on a car that old.

The only people who can remove that book is Mercedes themselves.. I don't really see them employing someone to remove a service book!

£68 for a collectors item...ho ho ho. That seller is a scum bag.

Surely there must be something illegal about selling stuff that is so obviously going to be used fraudulently?
