Hi all, I have purchased a Bluetooth adaptor to try and get my wife's phone connected to the command system but no joy, I took it to Mercedes Grimsby and they were great, the store man came out and gave it a try then another sales chap spent fifteen minutes on it and still no joy, they then took it into the workshop hooked it up but it didn't show the fault so they suggested that a full diagnosis way required but that costs about £100 inc VAT. The phone finds the Bluetooth module but the message on the screen is no phone, any ideas? We have tried Samsung s7 Galaxy note 5, I phones and Nokia but still no joy, also we have tried two different Bluetooth adaptors.
Any help welcome.

Thank's Bill.:fail
PS Mercedes didn't charge me a penny.

Hi do these blue tooth adaptors need the software upgrading, and if so does anyone know how to go about it please.
Thanks'
Bill.

I will get the details when I get home tonight, but the guy said it came out of his 2006 E Class, and I checked with Mercedes and they said it was the correct one.
Thanks' for any help.

Bill.

IF its the HFP adapter which looks like this:

https://www.commandonline.co.uk/Mercedes_Bluetooth_HFP.html

Press and hold down the rear of the cradle until the blue light flashes quickly.
Tell your phone to search for new devices.
When it finds MB Phonesystem, select that device on the phone.
Enter the pairing code which is 62872.
Enjoy

Thanks' Abb but we have done all that, I will get the module numbers when the wife gets home and post them tomorrow.

Been to a Mercedes specialist who checked the phone out and said there is a break in the fibre optic ring/connection, he thinks someone fitted a new radio and didn't connect the phone section up. Any ideas. Where is the phone control unit positioned? and how do you get the radios out please.

Bump please. Thanks.
