E class 211 estate

OP, I have had two 211 one being an e55 and currently an s211 320cdi. 2004 reg. O3 build. Had a few troubles within ownership and still have a current issue which I think is injector related. Long story hope to resolve it, in the near future. Depending on cost of fix to value of car.

If you do purchase one just give it a good test drive. If all suspension is working correctly it should ride and drive extremely well. Same with the gear box the 5 speed is so smooth throughout the gears. All cars will have little issues I'm sure. But if overall drives well and feels smooth, they can go for big mileage. Purchased ours 198k currently have 235k on it. Paid small money have had to pay for repairs over the years but I expected this with what the car cost. There are many variations of engines. The e320cdi had fantastic power, really does have a pack a punch when needed. And the do drive amazingly well. If you do like one and it does drive and ride well. It makes for a brilliant car in all aspects. Mine still on original Injectors 235k. Interior is in brilliant condition for age. Heated seats still work front and rear. If the injector issues don't work out. I'll be on the look for a younger mileage one in the new year.

Happy hunting, hope you find the one for you 👍

I wouldn't mind one of the 55 ones tbf we don't do much mileage mainly short journeys atm. I see some 6.3l models on auto trader too
Big big bucks for the 55s and 63s

Mmm, so we're more relaxed about reliability and maintenance costs now ?

When looking at AMG's try to go for the ones that have been owned by little old ladies who only used them to go to Church on Sundays.....

The same little old ladies who preferred to use their M5 for the once a week run to Sainsbury's presumably?
😁

and if you find a fair few condoms in the estate area you'll know it hasn't been driven as much as it might have been.

Church on Sunday and an occasional coffee morning would leave an amount of free time.

Sainsbury’s, you say?

Better to hold out for the Waitrose types, I’d say.

Sainsbury: can be a bit flibbertygibbet

But maybe that’s just my Kensington & Chelsea youth?

I more meant terns of fuel economy!

Maintenance costs aren't really the main concern. We are coming out of a 97 bmw. Its more I dont want to buy a nail. My mate sent me one on ebay the other week was perfect except for diesel and 5 seats. One lady owner from new. Garaged whole life even had photos of underside up on mot ramp was mint. 40 or 50k from memory. Sold for about 5 or 6 and seemed worth every penny
