e class 220 sport. grears

hi guys , question .. when in auto ,cars sits at drive but doesnt show what gear .. in manual it does show (of course) why not in auto ..
my audi A6 did and my vw cc . always showed what gear car is in,, is this a seting that can be changed ?

That's how they chose to do it. Not seen a way to change it.

you can by activating the AMG menu with an MBstar the menu then show you the Gears the car is in and more info

It’s an automatic - you don’t need to know what gear it is in.
