I was test driving an E-Class cabrio the other day and the dealer told me that there was no way to connect an iPhone to play music (although it did work for telephony over Bluetooth).

None?

Not even via a cable?

Apparently not!

Seems odd to me. He said that one could get some third party connectivity, but I didn't press for details.

Anyone know what the problem could be, and what the third-party part is?

This is the car Approved Used 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY in Watford for sale

Maybe the previous owner was a typical E Class Owner, and opted only for Classic FM?

Maybe the car salesman doesn't know much about the cars he is selling.

Are you saying it's possibly not the case? I've seen various threads where people are advised to hunt around in the glovebox for connectors!

I can't be 100%, but I would very much expect at least a 3.5mm socket in the glovebox.

I asked this question too and was advised that rhere should be a 3.5mm jack in the glovebox but nope I dont maybe ur in the same boat

Probably not a boat I intend to purchase, then!
