E-class dash repair.

Hi All,

I have seen the thread on repairing the dashboard pixels on W210 E-classes. The repair procedure seems quite straightforward once the dash is out. However, to remove it where do you actually push through the removing wires (coat hanger)? Is it between the hard plastic of the dash and the softer bit that houses the 3 buttons. If so, where exactly do you push the wires through as there are no actual gaps.

Just squeeze them down the edges of the hard plastic binnicle then twist them through 90 degrees to catch the edges of the plastic.

alternatively, remove the plastic under the dash and then push the cluster out from behind....

Pushing out from the rear can be hard on a 210, as there is hardly room for your hand on some models
