Hello all

Apologies if simple question, but on e class with dual sunroof, are there internal blinds to shut out the sun? I’ve tried looking on photos, but can’t quite tell.

Thanks,

Mike

The Panoramic sunroof has an electric blind. You can’t have the blind across but the sunroof open - the blind retracts fully and then the roof opens

As above. Although I think you may be able to tilt it with the blind covered

Have just found video of it in action, with blind on both rolling into centre section, so can’t be done individually.

On another point, does anyone with dual sunroof think they generate noise against solid roof?

Thanks

Mike

Can’t say I’ve really noticed any noise on the ones I’ve had. Not enough to mention anyway - tyre noise is probably more of any issue on modern cars with big wheels/tyres etc.

On mine albeit an E class coupe, the pan roof doesn't generate any noise at all, it's super quite and refined, mine's not a duel sunroof, the front parts a sunroof, the back parts a glass panel, you can't have the roof open or tilted with the blind shut. :)

Having owned W212's both with and without pano roof, the answer is no.

If you collect in December you’ll be far more concerned about driving about in ice / snow in a rear wheel drive, than noise from a sunroof. As it happens, as I am switching to a BMW, I have a set of Merc alloys with Continental winter tyres for sale. I used them last winter on my E350e for about 4K miles so they are virtually brand new !

It's a 4matic, as wouldn't buy RWD

I went with winter tyres as 4matic doesn’t change the braking distance which is 50% shorter than Summer tyres (I know I may stop but the car behind may not, but better to at least cover the situation where someone isn’t too close behind !)
