E-Class S210 Instrument CLOCK & TEMP READOUTS

Hi all

Anyone have any recommendations how & where to repair my temperature and clock readouts from on my 2001 E-Class S210?
They're hardly readable on mine and having tried several replacement clocks units, they all seem to have an issue with the readouts.

Its not too difficult to do yourself. I have done a few and allow 1.5 hours and you should be fine. Be sure to get the ribbons via ebay (circa £20) as the other fix by using padding to force the connections does not work.

agreed the padding is a waste of time

I have two face lift S210s E320cdi, 1999 and 2002.

Would the earlier dash panel with good pixels swap to the naff later one, without issue?
I've not looked with any depth whether the later has can-bus and the earlier has not.

They should both be the same...I can't remember if the mileage will be an issue or not
