Hey,
I own an 2002 e220 cdi automatic with 380.000km.
The gearbox 722.699 is acting up,sometimes it will change gear sometimes it will go in to limp mode.
On the star diag. the P2600 and P2601 are coming up-it seems to be related to the gearbox control unit not getting enough power to the valves.
Battery is new, connector tot the gearbox is ok,oil is changed.
On the star diag. there is another error code showing problems with the aux heater, and my radiator cooling fan is acting up(fan relay under head light was changed) and now the fan starts and stops even when the engine is cold.
The gearbox goes in to limp mode even in the morning when the engine is cold, when not in limp mode gear changes are fine except when i reach 60km/h there is an vibration at light throttle and when i press the pedal harder it goes away until it reaches exactly 80km/h when the vibration comes back.
I did check most connectors ground cables.what elese can i check?
Can the aux heater draw too much current from the battery so that the gearbox won t have enough voltage to change gears?????
