W212 e220cdi 2010 model parking brake issue seems to be sticking on any ideas anyone please ??

Don't know the 212, but assuming it's the same as so many other models,
start by checking the adjuster / balancer below the rear seat.

Likely rusted,
wire brush, lubricate, exercise.

Many thanks its a bit weird it ratchets on/off ok and no light on dash saying its still on yet feels like its dragging especially when first started and driven off when throttle backed off it slows very quickly as if someone has thrown the anchor out so maybe its partially seized at the wheel end i need to get underneath soon, not using it at present just put her in park so no an immediate issue thanks anyway M80.

Start at the adjuster, If it's sticking the shoes at the wheel will still be pulled outward.
