Today I picked up from my local MB expansion tank cap part.no.
A2105010615 (thanks grober) and can report that the temperature is now raising much faster than before, actually as fast as I remember how it was when I bought this car.
Definite verdict I’ll give tomorrow morning after commute but so far it looks like good result, I just hope there wont be any leaks from tank.
When compared New vs Old they both look the same but the new one when shaken rattles much more than the old one, so my guess is that whatever is in the cap is for sealing the system under pressure and after some time get covered with scales and dirt or just simply get worn.
At MB the genuine part is £19.80 so no point in looking for aftermarket part.
