e220 diesel Gearbox problems

I have a 2003 reg E220 CDI ( diesel), 100k miles, stuck in 2nd gear, will a Gearbox from a 2003 E200 Petrol work as a replacement ?.

Will a Box from a 2004 C220 CDI fit ?.

Have you had it diagnosed?

It might just be a speed sensor?

Is a Manual Box.

Whoaa boy/girl......Get a proper diagnosis from a competent specialist, if you go twanging parts at it you'll soon unload a ton o cash!!

Just noticed it's a manual, could be even better, it could be something as simple as a broken bolt, linkage or roll pin and therefore fixable, you won't know though till you get a professional opinion.
