Hello, First time on so be gentle. I have an E220 CDI and there is something wrong with the suspension, I can hear every bump in the road and it's driving me nuts. My car is a 2001 with 239k kms. I know that sounds a lot but I've had it since it had 67k kms and had it dealer serviced every time and done what was needed. I've had new sphere's fitted, in Spain, and the car has self leveling suspension. there doesn't seem to be a hydraulic leak, however, the merc dealer in france tells me there is a leaky pump?. My french is not good and I"m sure I'm missing something there. Neither the French or the Spanish have been able to solve the issue without me coming up with 1000's of mula and even then I don't really think they know. Recently a friend in Wales had a convo with a merc man in an MOT station. Upshot was that he said my car didn't have shock absorbers, as I had assumed and that my power steering/suspension pump was leaking and that is why I appear to have little or no cushioning on the suspension. anyone know what i"m talking about?
Thanks
jt

Welcome. All Merc estates have SLS (self levelling suspension) at the rear. You don't have shockls at the rear. Wjhat look like shocks are the self levelling rams. But they act as the shocks on our cars.

Thanks for that, do you know if the "pump" is for the power steering and the suspension, and if it's leaking is that likely to be why I'm feeling every bump?
