Windscreen and tailgate washers have just stopped working yesterday while driving - wipers function ok. Plenty of fluid but when you work the stalk/rear switch no whirring under the n/s wing - and no dash messages/error codes either. Thought I would look for a fuse/relay but all the info out there says neither exist - the two pumps are apparently controlled by the front SAM. In recent history I have replaced both pumps because they separately stopped working so I sort-of feel it unlikely that both would spontaneously fail again and at the same time (not impossible though)! Pointless looking under the bonnet because all the wiring will be in the wing so I figure the next thing I should do is to get to the pumps in the wing and see if they are getting power. Have I missed something simpler? If there is no power at the pump connections then it is either severed wires in the power feed to the pumps (unlikely to both pumps at the same time and also on separate circuits) or a SAM issue, it seems to me? Presumably a SAM can't be repaired & where is the SAM unit that controls these? Would STAR be able to diagnose the SAM for washer problems?
