E220 w211 2006 egr fault

Today my e220 cdi lost power and the management light came on.
Fault codes read:
20A3 - Exhaust gas recirculation; - intermittent;
20D3 –Left positioning mechanism; - exhaust gas recirculation system; - Internal malfunction; - intermittent;

If I unplug the egr it revs up.
Would a new egr fix this?
Other option would be to blank but I think I would need a emulator?

Probably just needs a clean

Take it off and clean it.... Might be hard to take out though ,.mine was stuck

If the EGR is a pain to remove just crack the retaining bolts and loosen them half a turn, then rev the engine. The exhaust pressure will loosen the EGR valve, then its is easy to remove and clean. Its a messy job, so wear gloves. Mr muscle oven cleaner works best.
