e240 clicking sound

Isnt that the purge valve? Very common problem for it to be clicking. I believe you can get a new one with damped mountings to reduce the noise.

i haven't got a clue about this purge valve.. very annoying sound. it this mean that i have to get a new part?..

regeneration valve? 70 us dollars (50 quid?) - it allows fuel vapour to be re-used. normal for it to click,

epc rants on about chassis numbers and changes etc etc

can you pull a part number off it? prob 000 470 xx xx?

PULL IT OUT.

STUFF 12 VOLTS ON THE CONNECTOR

turn off caps lock

it should now be 'open' and you should be able to blow through it.

its just a simple valve as far as i can see...
