C220 saloon
Good evening guys,

Hopefully some of you guys can help on a number of questions I have about my new purchase, I went from a c220 edition 125 to an E250 amg. I miss a couple of the light options on my E250 that were on the c220

Here goes and thanks in advance.

The head lights are LED strip which I didn't realise at the time were not the lights that follow the silver wave in the light so uneasy a bit gutted as I wanted them lights. Can they be a straight swap?

No bottom fogs/day lights, slightly confused as this means I have no front fogs. Can they be fitted? I can't seem to find any that fit my model.

Also when I unlocked the c220 the side lights came on but this is not the case on my e250, I have no setting on the dash menu either, can this be programmed by someone who's has the kit to plug in?

Thanks in advance on this, and any recommendations on the above with who can carry out the work would be appreciated.

"Silver Wave" DRLs are the Intelligent Light System DRLs, these were a £1200 option, retrofitting them might be slightly expensive.
Front & rear lights did come on my E Coupe when I unlocked it, your saloon should be the same. Have you tried setting your DRLs to "On" in the menu.

I think you mean the follow me home lights or whatever they're called, this can be turned on in the settings I think?

Retrofitting won't be worth it, will cost a packet

I have looked under lighting on the dash menu but no option for it, they definatley don't come on.

As for fogs any ideas?

Could easily retrofit fogs, not familiar what your bumper looks like so it may require making holes I'm guessing

Sounds silly but maybe try unlocking the car at night.

The reason I say this is unlocking our car during the day light the side lights do not come on, but they do at night.

Sorry if you've already tried this.

Ant.

I will try the night time unlock, maybe it was not dark enough.

I am also trying to get the Internet connection to work that reject my phone too, I need so sit in the car with the book for a few hours.

Yes, most the time a few hours and experiments can help with setting issues.

My interior lights are activated or deactivated from an overhead button by the interior lights

Lights are governed by the window light sensors and will only activate if dark enough same goes for Footwell lighting inside

Have you downloaded the PDF on your car through the online MB owners manual?
My car is fitted with the intelligent lights and it helped me understand how my lights worked, also i worked out how to activate the ambient lighting, well chuffed with this in the car makes it feel cosy at night haha
