Recently bought an E270 CDI estate, replaced couple of things and had service done.....had noticed a slight vibration between 1500 and 2000 revs only on hills normally. Coming home yesterday on dual carriageway had noticed the shaking a bit more than normal and suddenly no power when going uphill and reduced power when driving on flat or downward gradient. Assumed is all gearbox related but after turning off and back on it went back to normal. Quick google suggests MAF or such like, is it possible the whole issue is the same thing and not a torque converter or other gearbox issue like I had assumed?

Hi, vibration could be worn engine mounts, they are a common item to wear out after about 10 years or so. Watch out for fault finding by google, it can be an expensive game. Usually the most cost effective route is to find an indie with Star who can scan the error codes and give you a more targeted diagnosis.
