E270 cdi w211 strange vibration/ misfire

Does anyone have any ideas on this one? horrible vibration at midrange throttle from rear end and very harsh gear changes up and down particularly 3 to 4 and 4 to 3. Feels like prop coupling, driveline but all ok. Original fault code for no1 injector fault replaced injector now no fault codes on engine or transmission. Engine note does sound more off beat during vibration period but power remains good, rev counter needle also jumps around in vibration? The car has only covered 58k If you kickdown the changre is very harsh but the vib goes like wise if you go faster the vib smooths out. Checked cylinder smooth running readings and number 1 has a much higher value.
