I'm not too sure on how relevant this is but I decatted my last car and after that I heard the turbo whistle a hellova lot more after, it was still a resonated system.
Hi guys i am new to you forums hope I am allowed to post.
I have a similar problem starting after a small bump on my right front bumper.
The car drives normally no loss in power.
i have a loud woosh sound like air leaking at about 2000 rpm but only when driving, if i try it while the car is parked i can rev all i want it does not make the noise.
I thought air leak so i checked pipes and can't find anything.
I took it to mechanic and after keeping it for the day he said my turbo needs replacing and that it was damaged and the knock damaged it more.
I really don't know if I should believe him exept for the loud noise the car drives normally.
Would a damaged turbo still work normally.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
