Hi all

I don't post on this forum very often, but everytime I have its always saved me time and money:thumb:

Unfortunately it looks as though the driver side XENON on my 2002 E270 has blown.

Just wondering if its a DIY job to replace it, also where would I buy the replacement

thank you

Yep...it is a DIY job but a small morror does come in handy to see what you are doing behind the headlamp when you have to remove the clip that holds the bulb in place

First of all are you sure its the bulb ? You can remove the bulb on the other side and put it in to confirm that it is the bulb.

If it is the bulb, I bought mine frome Ebay. There is a guy there that is doing the Philips D2R and D2S bulbs for about £35 each. Thats about half the price that these normally go for, and Philips are usually an OEM product. This is his website...http://www.philips-d2s.com/...... and there is another guy that does General Electric D2R and D2S bulbs. I bought mine from him for £32 for the pair if I remember rightly....his ebay ID is supremelight.

You should really replace these bulbs as a pair in order to obtain even lighting across the two headlamps.

The one drawback of Xenons.....expensive when things go wrong.
