E280 (2006) glow light

Hi all, I am new to this site. I was thinking of buying a 2006 E280 (facelift model) Auto avantgarde, but the glow light is on - I presume this means the plugs need replaced. A local mechanic told me that these can be tricky to get out and sometimes get stuck fast, thus involving removing the cylinder head for replacement. Can anyone advise on this - the car looks like a good buy, apart from this snag.

Not so bad on the v6 cdi, in order to replace them with less chance of them snapping get the engine really hot.
