When changing my oil and filter, I noticed that the metal plate on the bottom side of my engine cover was detaching from the silly little plastic clips that hold it in place.
A little bit of gorrillas glue and a couple of self-tapping scews - An easy repair.

A question.
The engine cover has always been an ill-fitting thing.
While it was on the bench I had a look at it and found that the plastic receptacles that attach to the studs on the top of the engine are deformed - and look like they've been this way for some time.
Does anyone know if they are obtainable ?

Yes.

My Indie replaces them if he finds them missing in and I managed to get some on eBay.

Thanks guys.
I've just ordered a pack of 5 of these grommets on ebay for £5.45:
ebay item # 373906561276

There's good news and bad news ...
Good news 1: Received OK and they are the correct item.
Good News 2: Fitted three of them OK - But they are a very tight fit in the housing.
Bad news: They are so tight to fit that, while fitting the last one, I was just a bit too impatient and the pitifully-thin plastic housing went "POP".
"Oh Bother" - I said.
So - The araldite is now setting - And when it's set, I'll beef it up with body filler. That should do the trick.
