e280 ovp relay?

hi all..i asked b4 about an intermittent starting problem i have and was told its most prob the ovp relay. an ex mercedes engineer put there computer on my car and he said that it is the ovp relay.....BUT...he cant find it!!!! he has come back now saying that the model i have doesnt actually have an ovp relay!!! and havent heard from him since. my e280 is a 1996 december on a P...does anyone know if it does have one and if so where abouts it could be?.....(by the way...i am no mechanic myself so plz dont talk in car language!!!!) many thanks for your help
 
Usually near bulkhead, battery side, behind black plastic cover beneath the windscreen.

Big relay with red top and one or two fuses uppermost.

Next to the ECU. Well on a 124 it is, might be the same on yours ?

ok its a 300, but most of the wiring is the same..

had a look in the epc - on a 124 its called 'relay, overload protection' - but theres no such thing listed on the 210.. in fact there are only two 'relays' listed anywhere - all the boxes are called 'xxxx control unit'

however - there is a 'control unit, central electrical system' listed - its 400 us dollars :eek:
