E280 sport cdi - Quick MPG Question.

Hi, does my fuel consumption sound ok. I just want to be sure its not lower than normal. I have the 7g autobox, 2007 e280 cdi sport saloon with 124k.

I reset the fuel consumption gauge whilst already on the motorway, so this is just cruising at an average of 62mpg, over 75 miles it averaged 43mpg on the gauge. Is this about right.

I reckon so.

When I used to do big miles in my W211 I averaged 38mpg over tens of thousands of miles. Naturally a lot of these were motorway plus city driving which would bring the average down so 43 on the motorway plus a lot lees in town would back your figure up.

I found the OBC very accurate compared to brim-to-brim measurements.

Same car as you mate and yes that's about right,my best was 44mpg
