W124 300TD. W124 E300D. Rover P4 110. Rover P6 3.9. Various TVR's Two Ducati's.
I'm after replacing my '89 300TD with a later lower mileage example.

If it is of any interest, i have a 1995 'M' E300D 24v Auto with rear spoiler, aircon, long range fuel tank, Toad alarm/immobiliser etc.
Car has recently had both rear boxes replaced and new rear shocks.
Mileage currently just under 2K. Or may sell .

Question

Hi, I have an E250 diesel, 178k miles. I've thought of upgrading to the 300. What sort of money are you looking for?

I'm confused. what are you looking to get rid of or want?

Also, what is the emileage on the M reg 300 as 2k really is low.?

As a matter of info what economy are you guys getting out of your E300 and E250 diesels?

W124 e300 diesel M reg estate - in town london around 30mpg - motorways at 80 ish around 34mpg - miserly progress on the motorway at 50 ish around 45mpg. It is a 4 speed transmission.

I think he means he's done 200,000 dieselman.

Mine is auto, as a merc should be lol. I get about 32 - 35 running around. More on motorway journeys but only about 36/37 because it's only a 4 speed auto and i like to drive fast.

There's very little difference in economy between a 250TD and an E300 Diesel. They both do just north of 30 mpg

The advantage of the later Multivalve engine is that it's more tractable and a little bit zippier

To clarify.
I have three diesel W124's.
Two 'M' regd E300D saloons and a 'G' reg 300TD estate.
I am going to sell the estate which has done 289K and probably the 199K E300D.
I intend to buy a '92-'95 E300D estate. So if there is anybody out there looking to sell one then i would be interested.
I am looking at about £2k for the E300D saloon and about £1200 for the estate with the separate fuel tank and pipework etc to use SVO or WVO.

Nice to see another Rover P4 owner here....good luck

TVRTASMIN - you have a PM regarding your Estate you have for sale.

thanks!

derek
