Hi - my first post on here, apologies if this has been asked already.

I acquired an E-Class 300 hybrid on Saturday, drove it 255 miles home. When I picked the car up, the display on the hybrid drive battery was at 72%, and got to about 94% on the run, generally hovered between 85% and 90% during the trip. When I got home, I was in and out of the car on a few short runs. But it doesn't seem to start on Electric, he diesel engine kicks in immediately.

Am i missing something?

Thanks in advance folks.

What’s the 2013 Mercedes E300 Bluetec Hybrid like to drive?

The biggest problem is refinement when the diesel engine is running, which is most of the time. The E300 will run on electric-only power at low speeds or when you’re coasting with no throttle input, but the rest of the time the diesel’s gravelly engine note creeps into the cabin.
