Hi Everyone new today,
I have Mercedes Benz E300 Hybrid 2014 model, have had a lot of issues with my car, had a crack in the sump, after Mercedes replaced, car would not turn back on, when I took it back they said it is your lithium battery and to replace 34K, I drive the same way everyday to work and when I get home is always from new 81% so did not believe them, that was a year and half back, just run in sport now, still comes up when arriving home 81%.
I have looked on line in UK and a few people said that it could be a circuit in the starter motor that is causing it, haven't tried to replace yet. What I don't understand is if I have a start stop battery beside main battery in the boot why doesn't it restart the car, I have also replaced batteries after taking it to other dealers who said it was the main battery. Sure nobody knows these cars properly.
Problems I have had:
The car started playing up and the code P2810 was coming up and that was the G Solenoid in the gearbox, when I took to Mercedes they said it was caused from the lithium battery sending out wrong error codes.
Then one morning car wouldn't go, checked and the Control module in the gearbox failed, Mercedes wanted 8.5K to replace, I found someone outside Mercedes that could replace and program for 6K so had to go with that.
The gearbox after driving more then 50 mins turns on the fans and then if you pull up at a steep hill will slip, was told by Mercedes the clutch in the gearbox is going, but if you pull up at the hill and keep tension or stay on accelerator slightly to hold is ok, so not sure what is going on, been trying to see if I can buy a new gearbox from overseas, originally Mercedes offered to pay for half the price at 16K but did not take the offer.
The last thing it does is the aircon goes warm and need to restart car to bring back on.
I think that the car not turning on is a electrical fault that know one can find.
Hope 1 of you guys may have some answers or know where I could get a gearbox sent to Australia but needs to be checked first, no one over here wants to touch this type of gearbox.
I have attached a few fault reports. Vin number: WDD2120982B059337 My email is [email protected]
