E300 td w210 /BAS ASR LIGHT

my bas light has come on ive checked the bas unit by the brake master i swapped with my freinds he has exacly same car and light stayed on i put my unit on his car and it was fine any ideas / advice cheers

Is the battery voltage OK?

voltage good could it be the brake pedal switch ?

It's normally the brake light switch.

Start the car and wait, then press the brake pedal and see if the warning illuminates at that point.

Faulty ABS sensors or cracked ABS rings can affect these functions adversely.
Does the ABS light ever come on ?

no abs light comes on dont think it ever has

Change the brake light switch, it's only £10.

Does the brake light switch normally trigger both BAS and ASR warnings? Mine come on occasionally, always together, and switching off and restarting has always cleared both so far.

thats what mine started to do then it just stayed on the switch cost me £15 from mercedes and was easy to fit just a little fiddly
