changed the oil and filter twice in 80k miles; and then goes on to say it is good for 600k.....well that's the implication. Not looked after like that it wont.

I think if you read it again he means oil changed twice in 8000 miles.

dont think so - he says car serviced up to 100k by mercedes - and he has done 80k - mileage now 180k.
