E300de reliability

I'm about to take the plunge on a 2021 facelift E300DE. My test drive has really impressed me.

It’s a great car, and very clever (slows down automatically optimally charging to be just over the relevant speed limits). It gets involved, but in all the right ways. You can override anything you don’t like…but I like it all
I use all the diving modes frequently. Although the electric range only says about 21 miles on a full charge, it does up to 30moles I have found. This is generally enough for all my local trips so the diesel never starts (unless I’m in a hurry
Longer trips you have the economy of the 2litre diesel. M
Front ball joints and a track rod end just replaced (at only 60k miles and cost £1000!!!) battery appears to be just as good as when I bought it at 45k miles. Fingers crossed in that one- i intend to keep it 10yrs+

TBH a complex Euro 6 diesel coupled to a Mercedes hybrid system sounds like the stuff of nightmares, long term. IIRC there's a petrol version too? If so that's what I'd be looking for, personally.
