E320 Battery

This is gonna make me sound stupid but where on earth is the battery on E320 CDI 2000 ?

Try under the rear seat.

To access the seat there are small release handles at the leading edge of the side bolster at the bottom of the base.
Press down onthe base and lift the handle and the base will release.
