2002 w211 e320cdi. Looking at getting a boot spoiler & parhaps some quad exhaust tips. Anyone recommend any descent ones to look at??

If you have the boot popper on the key fob and inside the car it will no longer pop the boot fully once the spoiler is on :(

Just a heads up......

Thanks both of you. Are the cheaper ones from ebay any good or is it get what you pay for??

OEM spoilers shouldn't make any difference and are light enough not to effect it.

i have fitted both types usually customer buys from e-bay (Taiwan) roof spoiler and boot lip.

I have no problem with either type Taiwan type the roof spoiler is ABS plastic and is solid so the fit is easy, the lip spoiler is different, you MUST thoroughly warm the whole spoiler to reshape it to curve across the boot.

The paint match service is very good also never seen any arrive that were not spot on even metallic flake.

When they arrive they are usually bent at the ends to fit in the box .

I make a template of the edge of boot curve onto a sheet of cardboard with a marker pen, then after warming the lip spoiler bend it into the shape I have drawn on the cardboard and you can pin it into that shape and let it cool so it holds the curve.

All 3M Tape and K520 Adhesion Primer is usually supplied with the kit.

When fitting the lip spoiler theres a technique I use that makes it easy to shape it when fixing.

1. clean the boot lid to degrease it, you have the m3 tape already fitted to the spoiler lip so lay it on the boot before removing the backing tape, position it so you have the same amount of gap each end and mark by sticking some tape on the boot.

2. Warm the spoiler thoroughly it will feel very "loose" and become easy to manipulate for fitting, warm the boot lip area its to be fitted to.

3. Peel off about 3 inches of tape and line the spoiler up with the guide tape and just in a little from the boot lip and very slowly worked my way round following the shape of the boot. Every now and then pull off the backing tape and stick again you will find the spoiler bends and holds into place.

Do not remove all the backing tape first or you will have a nightmare...

Have fun

I usually charge from £250.00 (Thin) or £285.00 (Thick) for Taiwan Roof and Boot lip spoiler with paint code matched & fitted.

Two types thicker boot spoiler or the lip type.
