The seal that came out was the orange stepped grommet type of seal. The one I have purchased is the more simple green 'O' ring type. Does anyone know if the orange one has been superseded by the green one? or can I use either?
Do not under any circumstances treat this as a simple job. I have done the oil cooler and seals and set myself up to finally doing this whilst I was at it.
There was no way at all that I could get the tube out from there and believe me I tried all ways.
End result strip down rear of newly assembled turbo pipes and get the exhaust manifold off. Not too bad as I had to take the other side off due to a snapped stud in the exhaust flange whilst doing the cooler job so she will now wear a new pair of Elring gaskets.
